My men were nervous - Bradley admits

Egypt Coach Bob Bradley has attributed the 6-1 annihilation the Pharaohs suffered in the hands of the Black Stars to nervousness.

The 40,000 seater capacity Kumasi stadium was fully packed with partisan Ghanaian supporters chanting, singing and waving in an electric atmosphere as Ghana romped past Egypt, six goals to one in the first leg World Cup qualifying playoffs.

The result cast serious doubts about the ability of the Pharaohs to reach the World Cup and they would have to score five unanswered goals in the second leg to achieve that dream.

In a post match interview Bob Bradley admitted the Egyptian nerves took the better of them.

He said the team was wary about the threat posed by the striking duo of Gyan and Warris and tried to find an antidote but things did not work out.

He also dismissed assertion by some Egyptian journalists that he failed to invite some experienced players to join the team ahead of the Ghana clash, saying there were lots of experience players in the team.

Prior to the Ghana game the Egyptians had not lost any of their matches in the qualifying campaign.
