My aim is to build a solid national under 17 team – Paa Kwasi Fabin

Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin has assured Ghanaians of his commitment to the development and building a solid national under 17 team for the country and he is willing to engage every good player in all the ten regions.

The former Inter Allies trainer said, ‘’developing and buiding Ghana`s under 17 solidly will always be my first and foremost priority, but not a regional team’’, he told Enoch Worlanyo Wallace on Asempa Fm.

The technical team of the Black Starlets (National Under 17) has started embarking on a tour of the 10 regional capitals to scout for players born on or after January 1, 2000 and groom them for selection into the team.

The exercise, which is expected to end on January 31, begun in Tamale and will continue in Bolgatanga on Sunday, Wa, Sunyani and Kumasi on January 25, 2016.

It will then proceed to Takoradi on January 26, with stop-overs at Cape Coast, Koforidua, Ho and end in Accra on January 31.

During the tour, a mini tournament will be organised for the players with the able support of the Regional Sports Development Officers (R.S.D.O)’s and coaches.
