Ghana’s troubled superstar friends Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng were involved in a heavy altercation outside a restaurant in Milan which nearly led to a brawl, Italian newspapers reported on Wednesday morning.

According to a report in the gossip magazine Diva e Donna, the fierce street brawl was averted when passers-by intervened to prevent the two friends from fighting in the streets of Milan.

It is not clear when the incident occurred but it is believed to have taken place on Tuesday night after the two friends had gone for a dinner in a posh restaurant in the Italian city.

The report claims the two players went for dinner together, obviously in Milan.

Boateng brought the charming Melissa Satta – his partner and mother of his son, Maddox.

Muntari apparently came alone.

After leaving the restaurant, Sulley found his motorbike on the ground and significantly damaged, to the point of not allowing the Milan player to be able to go home on his power machine as it was unusable.

Then Muntari asked his friend Boateng to give him a ride home: ” I’m sorry, I am with Melissa,” the Germany player told Muntari.

All hell broke loose which nearly led to the fisticuffs.

If the report is confirmed to be true, it would show how impatient and edgy the two of Ghana’s top footballers have become following their recent troubles over the past twelve months.

The two players were sacked from Ghana’s World Cup camp in Brazil for various offences. Boateng has been sacked by German side Schalke while Muntari's career with AC Milan hangs in the balance.
