Promising midfielder Muniru Sulley says he is ready for his league debut for his new side Steaua Bucuresti on Saturday night in their season opener.

Sulley, who joined the league and cup champions this transfer, is likely to be handed a starting role in their title defence opener against Petrolul Ploieti.

The 22-year-old is not new to the Romanian top-flight after helping CFR Cluj to finish third last season with 26 appearances.

“I’m always ready and I know the league already so it’s nothing special for me,” the younger brother of ace midfielder Sulley Muntari told GHANASoccernet.com.
Muniru was handed a starting role and played 74 minutes for Steaua as they lost 1-0 to Targu Mure last Wednesday night in the Romanian Super Cup.

“The Super Cup was okay and we played well but just that we couldn’t score.”
