Steaua Bucuresti midfielder Muniru Sulley suffered a nasty head injury during Sunday's 2-0 win over Viitorul in the Romanain League.
The 24-year-old was elbowed by Florin Flavius Purece on 43 minutes and suffered a deep cut above his right eye.
Blood was profusely streaming down his face but the referee did not stop play.
Sulley had to be treated off the pitch and later returned with his head bandaged.
He was substituted four minutes in the second half by Alexandru Bourceanu.
