Former Accra Lions midfielder Abdul Rashid Abubakar has joined Moldovan Superliga side CSF Spartanii Sportul.

The club announced his transfer on Saturday, 14 September 2024, before travelling to FC ZImbru for a league match.

Abubakar increases the rank of Ghanaian players at the club to three.

The 24-year-old will be joining his sixth club since 2021 when was transferred by Accra Lions to Chinese second-tier side Heilongjiang Ice City on loan.

At the end of that contract, he returned to the Ghana Premier League side and was later sold to Bosnian side FK Sarajevo.

He has also played for Omani side Bahla Club, Serbian side FK Loznica and Al-Suqur SC in Libya.
