Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has won West Ham United’s Goal of the Season Award with his strike against Freiburg.

The goal was from West Ham's 5-0 win over the Bundesliga side in the second leg of the round of 16 clash.

The former Ajax player scored twice in that game at the London Stadium as the Hammers reached the quarter-finals of the European competition.

The Ghanaian player dribbled past several players before firing home with his weaker foot in their 5-0 thrashing of Freiburg.

The former Ajax Amsterdam player picked up the ball in his own half and dribbled past two Freiburg players, then remarkably scored with his right foot, which is not his dominant foot.

It was in this game that Mohammed Kudus first performed his take-a-seat goal celebration after he took a chair from a steward on the pitch.

Kudus was confirmed as the Goal of the Season Award winner by the club on their social media account on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Since joining West Ham, Kudus has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 31 league games.
