Model team training camp gather momentum

Accra, March 26, GNA - The ongoing Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) National Model Team Weekend Training Camp enters its 7th Week this weekend at the D. G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra with some interesting matches. Top on the fixtures will be the titanic clash between camp leading players Akosua Ketu and Efia Oforiwah, Felix Lartey and Derek Abrefa as well as Emmanuel Asante and Isaac Davies.

Another match expected to thrill fans is the contest between World Cadet Player; Samuel Akayade and Mawutor Quarcoo. Kwame Amponfi Jr, General Secretary of the GTTA said matches involving the top players have always turned to be full of fire works and this weekend's duel will be no exception, especially as both players battle for the top spot and the chance to represent the country at all 2010 International Competitions.

He said the weekend competitions which promises to pull a good crowd begins at 10 am and ends at 6pm each day from Friday to Sunday. The ten week training camp is scheduled to end in April. 24 top notch Cadets, Juniors and Senior players and six technical officials including GTTA Chief Coach Mr Anthony Owusu-Ansah are involved in the weekend training Camp. 26 March 10
