Mobile Zone to donate to Ajara Mohammed

Mobile Zone Ghana Limited, dealers in Techno phones and electronics, will on Wednesday, June 20, make a presentation to Paralympic athlete Ajara Mohammed, for emerging as the MTN-SWAG Sports Personality of the Year at the recent 37th MTN-SWAG Awards Night held at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra.

Ajara who swept aside stiff competition from Black Stars players, Andre Dede Ayew and Harrison Afful to win the prestigious annual Award of the MTN sponsored SWAG Awards, will be presented with a 32” Inch flat screen techno colour television, a mobile phone and cash donation of GH?1,000.

The gesture, according to officials of the mobile phone company, is in recognition of the achievements of the Paralympian who scooped two gold medals at the 2011 All Africa Games, held in Maputo, Mozambique and for emerging as the Sports Personality of the season.

The donation is also expected to serve as a motivation for Ajara and to inspire other sports men and women to aspire to the highest level.

Prior to this presentation, Ajara on the SWAG Awards Night was presented with a trophy, a certificate, hamper from Akomsombo Textiles Limited (ATL), souvenirs from lead sponsors MTN and a fully installed DSTV for six months from Multi Choice Ghana Limited.**
