Ministries not exhibiting signs of World Cup euphoria

Accra, June 8, GNA - In spite of the high anticipation of many Ghanaian football lovers who are looking forward with relish to the opening of the "South Africa 2010 World Cup," various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government have failed to join the euphoria.
A scouting to the area conducted by GNA Sports at the Ministries' enclave has revealed that most of the Ministerial Blocks, which is the head of Government business including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Education and Interior are yet to be decorated with national colours and Black Stars replica regalia.
It was observed by the GNA team on Tuesday that the whole Ministries and along the streets to the Ohene Djan Stadium, from the Custom, Excise and Preventive Service to the Ministry of Finance, the road from the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs/Controller and Audit Service towards the offices of Health, Agriculture, Employment and Social Welfare all do not portray any sign of Ghana's participating in the World Cup.
Ghana's Black Stars are among the 32 national teams to decide who rules the world of soccer come Friday, June 11 in Johannesburg when the Group matches kick-start with host South Africa facing Mexico in the opener. Ghana is in Group D alongside Serbia, Australia and Germany with the Stars scheduled to face Serbia on Sunday, June 13 at the Lofthus Versfield Stadium, Tshwane, Pretoria. 08 June 10
