Minister presents sports items to communities

Nsawam, Jan. 16, GNA - Deputy Minister for Transport, Mr Magnus Opare-Asamoah, has presented a number of sporting items worth over 5,000 Ghana cedis to some community in his constituency. They include 15 sets of jerseys and a football each to the 15 communities.

Mr Asamoah, who is also a Member of Parliament for Aburi/Nsawam said the objective of the gesture was to promote sports in the area and ensure members of the communities live healthier lifestyles noting that "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." He therefore appealed to the youth in the area to take advantage of the items to develop their sporting skills. Nana Ntim Yeboah II, Chief of Ashiresu Yeboakrom, who received the items on behalf of the communities expressed appreciation to the Minister and called on other well meaning Ghanaians to emulate his example.
