Minister of Youth and Sports sends goodwill message to Black Stars

Mr. Clement Kofi Humado, Minister of Youth and Sports has on behalf of the Government and people, sent a Goodwill message to the senior national team, the Black Stars ahead of their 2014 World Cup qualifying match against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.

The two teams will clash on Friday, June 1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium-Kumasi, in what will be a testing moment for newly signed on coach Kwesi Appiah and a host of local players.

In a release issued from the Public Relations Office of the Ministry on behalf of the Minister, copied to GNA Sports, it said the Black Stars must win their first match to put them in a better position of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.

Mr. Humado said, “I am very confident that the Stars will put up an impressive performance and put the smiles on the faces of the numerous Ghanaian supporters and fans after their not so much impressive ending at the AFCON 2012”.

He thanked the technical and management teams of the Stars for their hard work and tasked them to ensure that the team is well prepared before and during Friday’s match.

The Minister took the opportunity to appeal to every Ghanaian to remember the Stars in their prayers as is always the case, and for them to come out in their numbers to cheer and support the team to win handsomely at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.**
