Milovan Rajevac Defends Changes

THE head coach of the senior national team, Milovan Rajevac has defended the list of players he has invited to the Black Stars team to face Lesotho on Saturday 13th October at the Essipong Stadium. The Serbian stresses that though there are several new faces in the Stars team who are expected to play the match in Sekondi, he believes they all have what it takes to get a win for Ghana to progress to the next stage of the competition. He stated that though he has been criticized by Ghanaian football fanatics ever since the list was released, he would not budge or bring in any new players because he believes the invited players will get the desired results for Ghana to overcome Lesotho.

In an exclusive interview with 90 Minutes, the coach had this to say: "These criticisms are part of the game so I have accepted them in good faith but I want everyone to know that I will not pick a squad I have no faith in because if I fail to deliver, my head will be on the line. It is the wish of every coach to win and if I believe these are the men that will get me the desired results, why not go with them because most of them have been very active in the past weeks,” he continued. “This is the team and I want all Ghanaians to support us because if we don't give the new players a chance, how would we be able to fill the gaps that will be created with the departure of some of our stars like Essien and co”. Milo is confident that though the game will be highly contested, he believes the Stars will surely get a win and qualify to the next stage.
