Milo U-13 championship kicks off May 15

Nestlé Ghana - producers of Milo - as part of developing basic education sports will start the fifth edition of the championship on May 15 across the country.

Selected schools will be playing each other in a zonal format in the 10 regions from the district level through to the regional level where finalists will gather for a three-day knockout at the Paa Joe Park later June.

The purpose of this championship is to unearth talents for the various national teams in the near future.

Players like Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston, John Mensah, Abdul Majeed Waris to mention a few are all products of Milo grassroots soccer.

Bepong Kwahu Methodist JHS in the Eastern region are the defending Champions of the Milo U13 Champions League after they defeated Combone R/C JSS from Sogakope 2-0 last year.
