Michael Phelps is my motivator - Abeiku Jackson?

Ghanaian swimming prodigy Abeiku Jackson has attributed the success he has achieved so far to the inspiration he draws from American swimmer Michael Phelps.

He said the American has since been his role model.

The 15-year-old is currently Ghana’s best male swimmer after setting four national records to make him a potential medal winner for the Olympic Games.

Jackson told Starr Sports he chose the American Olympian because of the way he tackles the swimming sport.

“Michael Phelps works very hard and takes in details, there are some people who just work on their diet and techniques, but Phelps concentrates much on his diving skill and corrects the mistakes he does,” he said.
