Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko assistant coach, Michael Osei, has disclosed to the media he is ready to grab an opportunity to coach the senior national team if such chance is to avail itself.

Osei, who parted company with the Porcupine Warriors in January signed for Dansoman-based club Liberty Professionals in the second round of the league, and has been steering things from the dug-out.

Kwesi Appiah, who is a local coach, is enjoying his second spell as the senior national team coach after he was relieved of his position in September 2014 – bent on correcting his mistakes to prove his mettle.

With this approach toned by the FA, some of the local coaches believe they could also be fortunate to handle the national team in future.

“I am a Ghanaian and wish to handle the national team one day. In view of this, am wishing Kwesi Appiah and his backroom staff all the best of luck,” Michael said.

“I believe within myself that he [Kwesi Appiah] will succeed. Is my wish to handle the team so if such opportunity comes calling in the near future, why not?”

Since taking charge as the head coach, he is to record a defeat in the premier league but has sadly overseen three straight draws. They currently placed 13th on the league log and faces Great Olympics on match day at the Accra Sports Stadium.
