Meteors secure spiritual support ahead of Mozambique clash

Ghana’s U23 team visited the Palace of the Tamale Chief on Thursday to ask for the support of the overlord ahead of their 2015 All Africa Games qualifier against Mozambique.

Following the footsteps of the Black Stars, the Black Meteors want to ensure their fully fortified with the blessing of Dakpema Naa Alhassan Dawuni before facing their visitors in the second leg clash of their All Africa Games qualifier.

Ghana must overturn a 2-1 deficit suffered in the first leg encounter on Sunday in order to make the finals to be staged later this year in Congo Brazzaville.

The Black Meteors were assured of both physical and spiritual support from the people of Tamale when the team visited the palace. Dakpema Naa Alhassan Dawuni’s support has proved effective for the nation in recent times.

The Black Stars secured impressive victories anytime they played in Tamale – after seeking audience with the overlord – during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations when they were in real difficulty.

The Black Meteors also want to enjoy in such feat by playing their crucial qualifier in Tamale.
