Mercy Tagoe quits Halifax Ladies to focus on Black Queens

Black Queens Head Coach, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo has resigned from her post as head coach of Halifax Ladies in the Ghana Women’s League.

With just five matches into the Ghana Women’s League campaign, the coach has decided to quit her post in order to focus on the women’s national team, the Black Queens.

According to Mercy Tagoe, she is willing to offer her experience to her replacement to help them fit into the team.

“I have enjoyed my tenure at Halifax, and in particular feel honoured to have been a part of such a supportive team. If I can be of help during this transition, please let me know. I am available to help train my replacement and will ensure all my reports are updated before my last day of work.

“Thank you again for the opportunity to work at Halifax. I wish you all the best and look forward to staying in touch.”

The coach believes her decision will help the Black Queens prepare adequately for CAF and FIFA assignments.

Halifax Ladies have won just a match, drew three and lost one in their last five games.
