Columbus Crew teammates Jonathan Mensah, Lalas Abubakar and Edward Opoku have left Ghana for the club's preseason ahead of the 2019 season.

The trio who were in Ghana for the Christmas holidays were involved in several activities including charity works.

Jonathan Mensah tied the knot with long time girlfriend Kafui Tinglafo during the festive period and was also engaged in some philanthropic works after making some donations to Dworwulu special school.

Edward Opoku also gave back to the society after organinsing a mini-tournament for young footballers in Konongo-Odumasi in the Ashanti region.

The three left without Black Stars defender Harrison Afful, another member of the Gold and Blacks but he is expected to join the club in the coming days.

All four players will work under a new manager at the club after Caleb Porter, former Portland Timbers manager was appointed as replacement of Greg Belhater.
