Ghanaian side Medeama have suspended defender Amos Korankye indefinitely for going AWOL, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The Tarkwa-based side have wield the disciplinary axe after the player absconded from the team's camp.

Korankye, who joined the Mauve and Yellows from Sekondi Hasaacas, has not turned up for training for the past three weeks without approval.

The club has been left incensed by the conduct of the experienced right-back and have moved quickly to act.

He has missed the side's Premier League game against Elmina Sharks, Ashantigold and Bechem United and will be unavailable for the delayed Premier League fixture against Berekum Chelsea on Thursday.

The 2016 CAF Confederation Cup campaigners have notified the Ghana FA over the latest development.
