Ghanaian FA Cup title-holders Medeama SC have won the race to sign striker Bernard Ofori from New Edubiase United after he penned a two-year-deal on Saturday, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

Medeama officials and the player's representatives from New Edubiase United met in Accra to seal the five-figure deal.

Ofori was strongly linked with a move to Ghanaian champions AshantiGold and former African champions Hearts of Oak but the pair have been outwitted by the ambitious Tarkwa-based side.

Medeama, who have qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup, are on the market to bolster their ranks with quality additions and their Swedish trainer Tom Strand will be thrilled with the addition.

The Mauve and Yellows side will move quickly to finalise documentation to register the midfielder as the Ghana FA have issued a reminder to clubs to complete registration of players on time.
