Maxwell Konadu lands 14-day attachment at Sunderland

Footy-ghana.com understands that Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu will be spending 14 days on attachment at English Premier League outfit Sunderland.

The move comes as part of a partnership agreement between the two clubs. This will occur during the African Nations Cup, when the Glo Premier League will be on break.

During the two weeks, Konadu, a former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars striker, who possesses the equivalent of the UEFA License A coaching certificate, will be understudying Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill and his coaching staff as he attempts to upgrade his UEFA A coaching qualifications to the UEFA Pro License certificate.

Konadu assisted Kwasi Appiah to lead Ghana’s Black Meteors to gold during the All Africa games in Mozambique in September and his efforts have seen Asante Kotoko climb to the summit of the Glo Premier League table after 12 games this season.
