Mattheus wants Agogo, Annan and Abeyie

Austrian Club, Salzburg Red Bulls, will make a move for Ghanaian internationals Junior Agogo, Anthony Annan and Quincy Owusu Abeyie according to Salzburg's coach Lothar Mattheus.

The former Germany captain watched the knockout stages of the Nations Cup and said he would love to work with those three players at Salzburg.

"I think Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, Anthony Annan and Junior Agogo were excellent. They are players I would love to have."

All three players ply their trade in the lower divisions of England, Norway and Spain, but Mattheus is convinced they are too good for that stage saying, "they are very good players who don't deserve to be playing in the lower divisions.

"I feel they have qualities that will be vital for the club. In return, I can provide for them a bigger stage and the opportunity to play regularly.

Mattheus said Salzburg will initiate plans to sign their targets and that he hopes the club will "make further inroads in Ghana as the days unfold."
