The final matches of the first round of the National Women’s League scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.
According to the Women's League Board, the postponement is to allow the national women's Under-20 team, the Black Princesses, finalise their training and preparation towards the crucial 2014 World Cup final qualifier against Equatorial Guinea next weekend in Malabo.
All 12 teams in both the North and South leagues would have been involved in the weekend's match-day-5 fixtures but League organisers have shifted the matches to next weekend, January 10 and 11, 2014.
Also, most Clubs have more than three players in the national team and thus, requested for the rescheduling of their matches.
