Egyptian side, Masri, have signed Ghanaian striker Razak Pimpong from Norwegian side Viking FK, the Port Said-based club announced on Sunday.
"We bought the player for $200,000," Masri chairman Ali Faragallah told FilGoal.com.
"Pimpong penned a one-and-a-half year deal. We are fulfilling our promise of brining quality players to the club."
Masri have seemingly beaten off competition from Zamalek as Pimpong revealed recently he was in talks with the Cairo giants over a possible move.
Pimpong, 26, was part of Ghana's squad that participated in the 2006 World Cup but his lack of playing time at Viking restricted his appearances with the black stars. He is Masri's second signing in the January transfer window after defender Hossam Abdul-Monem, who joined from Ittihad.
Masri, who appointed Tarek Soliman as head coach in place of the sacked Hossam Hassan, lie seventh in the Egyptian league table with 20 points.
