Marseille coach Elia Baup has hailed Jordan Ayew's striking prowess after scoring a double in their 2-1 win over Moldovan side FC Sherrif on Thursday night in the Europa League play-off.
The 20-year-old fired Marseille in front on 18 minutes before claiming victory eight minutes after the interval.
Jordan was deployed on the left wing but still managed to shine.
"He played on the left which is not his preferred position but he hit top gear," Baup praised the Ghana international.
"He was effective and he was rewarded with the goals after a strong physical potential."
The brace marks his second double in the Marseille shirt and has taken his tally to 12 in 84 appearances since being promoted to the first team.
