Marseille chase Everton star?

MARSEILLE ARE SAID to be interested in Everton's out-of-favour Ghanian International Alex Nyarko.

The 1993 European Cup winners are nothing if not triers and having turned down the chance to take Yugoslav international midfielder Albert Nadj off Real Oviedo and with bids in the pending file for Goran Djorovic and Stankovic they are also looking at the midfielder who is not in the first team plans with the Premiership outfit.

The 27-year-old, who signed from UEFA Cup semi-finalists Lens in the summer, was a target of Marseille in the summer but Brazilian coach Abel decided to forego his talents for Brazilian Adriano instead.

Nyarko gained rave reviews earlier in the season but has since been dropped and Marseille have been alerted to the fact that he would be available.
