Marseille, Werner Bremen, Two Others Chase Boakye

After performing gallantly in the Spanish Second Division League during his two seasons spell, Ghanaian-born young talented playmaker, Kingsley Boakye, currently appears to be a hot cake on the international market as he is reported to be on the shopping list of almost four European sides for their summer signings.

The four, French Premier League side Olympique Marseille, Werder Bremen of the Bundesliga, Dutch side PSV and a Russian Premiership side, are all reported to be of high hopes of securing the signature of the Ghanaian before the close of the transfer window.

Boakye, who according to international reports has come under intense pressure from official of the Spanish Football Federation to switch nationality in order to feature for the Spanish Olympic soccer side, has so far scored eighteen times for his Spanish side in his two-year stay.

According to the report, Bundesliga side, Werner Bremen among the four, appears as the favorite to secure his service due to their attractive package presented to the player and his agent earlier this week.

What may also seem to be a plus for the German side is the fact that Boakye according reports is anxious of a return to Germany due to wonderful reception he always received during his stay with Elnorweg, a Regionaliga side three years ago.

However, investigations conducted in Accra, reveals that officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as well as the male Olympic Soccer team, Black Meteors are currently in talks with young Boakye, who appears as a complete carbon-copy of Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah, in order to get him don the Ghanaian Olympic soccer jersey as the team prepares for their Olympic qualifiers.

It will be recalled that a story was carried on the Ghanaian about a week ago when information revealed that young Boakye was in the process of being lured by Spanish Football Officials to switch nationality in order to feature for their Olympic soccer side.

Before leaving for Europe, Boakye, featured for Newcastle United and Jofia F/C, both lower division sides in Ghana.
