Management of King Faisal FC cautions players

Kumasi, May 15, GNA - The management of King Faisal Babies F/C has cautioned its players to be more serious on the field of play to enable the team achieve a breakthrough in this year's Premier League. "The players should also be disciplined outside the field of play to help them develop their career to an appreciable standard to their own benefit, the Club and for the nation.

Mr Samuel Otoo, Communications Director of the Club gave the advice in an interview with the GNA Sports in Kumasi on Thursday. The call comes in the wake of Faisal's hard-fought 3-2 victory over visiting Bechem Chelsea in their 18th Week encounter of the League played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi on Wednesday. The visitors gave Faisal a scare in the match as they fought hard to score two goals in the second half after the home team had scored three goals in the first half.

Chelsea stood the chance of getting the equaliser but erratic shooting upfront denied them the opportunity as the home team surprisingly became complacent and appeared relaxed in their approach to the game, especially in the second half.

The Communications Director cautioned that Faisal may not be able to achieve their aims if the players approached their remaining matches with complacency, adding that the technical team was working hard to psyche them to concentrate on the task given them on the field of play. On Faisal's match against Sporting Mirren in their 19th Week fixture, Mr Otoo said that the playing body had prepared adequately for the match and therefore urged supporters to pray for the team to help them win the match to keep their dream on course. Faisal lies second on the League table with 30 points and are 10 points adrift of League leaders Accra Hearts of Oak. 15 May 09
