Management Team Visit Brahabebome And Bantama Shafts

The management team of Ashgold headed by the CEO of the club, Capt. Andy Sam on last week visited the Brahabebome and Kumasi-Bantama Shaft (Shaft 20) to interact with the followers of the club.

Some of the issues that were raised at various meetings included player recruitment, player transfers, current performance of the team, sponsorship, change of club's name and player indiscipline. Others areas were management of player injuries, trials and possible sale of players, club's website and publicity and issues relating to the club's academy.

The CEO on his part urged the supporters to change their attitude towards regular demands of purchase of new players rather than to rely on the clubs own academy players who he said have been nurtured properly to join the senior side.
He reiterated that the likes of Shaibu Yakubu, Ofosu Amoah, Frank Andoh, Dan Asamoah, Nasir Lamine, Kwaku Sarpong, Alfred Arthur, Tony Baffoe and Adu-Gyamfi are graduates of academy and have made the marks. The rest are Opoku-Agyemang, David Telfer, Wakasu Mubarak, Frederick Sarpong all of Starlets fame have all proven to be capable of taking up the mantle of bringing honour to the club whenever they are given the opportunity to play.

Capt. Andy Sam also made it clear that plans were far advanced to secure a sponsorship deal with one of the TV stations in the country. He said if that deal materializes, Ashgold would telecast their home matches for companies to intermittently advertise on the programme to generate revenue for the club.
The CEO also said that several attempts had been made to appeal to the club's parent company Anglogold Ashanti Company to financially support the club.
