Mark Agyekum has expressed his joy after picking up man of the match award in AshantiGold SC's win on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

The young forward netted his first goal in the top-flight and also provided an assist when the Miners beat Eleven Wonders FC 2-0 at the Len Clay stadium.

Agyekum following an excellent effort set-up Emmanuel Owusu to put his side in front in 29th minute.

On the stroke of halftime, Agyekum scored with a brilliant curler after receiving a pass from Abdul Latif Anabila to double the lead.

"I am very happy about the result of the game and also being named as the man of the match for the first time." he told reporters.

"It is a delight for me because this is first time of scoring a goal in the premier league."

The Gold and Black outfit are currently lying second on the league log with an 100% record.
