Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has confirmed viral reports that the club’s officials with the help of the Police have arrested a shopkeeper in Tarkoradi for selling fake replica jerseys of the club to the general public.

The gentleman who’s named has been withheld was arrested on Saturday, November 23, 2019 selling all the replicas of the Phobians at a substantially lower price to entice supporters of the club.

The shopkeeper was selling one jersey for 10-15 cedis whiles the original sells between 80-100 cedis.

Opare Addo in an interview with Ghanaweb confirmed that the club reported the incident to the police and got the shopkeeper arrested. He says the Police will continue with the investigations in order to arrest any other person/persons involved in the crime.

“It’s true we have arrested somebody for selling fake Umbro replica jerseys in Takoradi. We have handed over everything to the police for further investigations and very soon we will come out with a statement, “said Kwame Opare Addo.
