Swedish football club, Malmo FF have sued Sirius IK and are seeking a refund of the transfer fee they paid for jailed Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Sarfo.

As if that is not enough, the player's former juvenile club Soccer Soldier Academy is also in a battle with Sirus over their share of the transfer fee.

Sarfo joined Malmo FF in a record deal from IK Sirius last summer following his impressive display for Sirius FF.

But the 23-year-old's stay in the Malmo was shortlived as he was engulfed in legal cases and was ultimately handed a two years, eight months jail sentence after being found guilty of defilement.

The Swedish giants (Malmo FF) paid $1.5 million to sign the talented Ghanaian on a four-year deal in the summer of last year.

According to latest reports the Swedish giants have sued Sirius, demanding a refund of their $1.5 million.

With the Ghanaian expected to serve his full sentence, Malmo are determined to reclaim their money.

However, in the midst the midst of the storm, Sirius are also in another tussle with Soccer Soldier over the transfer of the African talent.

Marie Strand, who runs Soccer Soldier, says the outfit is entitled to 50 percent of the amount given to Sirius.

The matter has been sent to the Swedish Football Association arbitration panel.

" I am still surprised that they continue with the requirement and based on what has been presented, I see it in the same way as before, says Sirius Chairman Ove Sjöblom said.

Sjöblom believes that it would be a heavy blow if one were to lose the dispute.

"It is so clear that it would be tough for Sirius, but it is a process that will last until the autumn probably. Then there are more prerequisites to see how it goes".

Sarfo made 60 appearances for IK Sirius in the Superettan and 11 in Allsvenskan, scoring nine goals and providing 18 assists in total.
