Experienced coach Malik Jabir is the frontrunner to be named the technical director of Asante Kotoko.

According to a Graphic Sports report, Jabir’s name has been proposed to assist interim coach Michael Osei.

Kotoko managed just two points from their last three matches, and that is a major concern.

Jabir has rich coaching experience on the continent having coached in neighbouring West African countries.

The ex-international was on the bench when Kotoko won their last African title in 1983.

Jabir was appointed technical advisor at a Nigerian Premier League side.
