Ghana duo of Nuhu Musah and Majeed Ashimeru staged a magnificent performance to inspire Swiss side, St.Gallen F.C to a 1-0 win over Neuchâtel Xamax F.C Stade De La Maladière on Saturday evening.

21-year old Swiss footballer of Angolan descent, Dereck Kutesa’s lone goal in the 73rd minute was enough to grab the maximum points for the visitors.

Nuhu Musah, 22, who’s on loan from Ghana Premier League side, WAFA lasted the entire duration of the game as a defensive midfielder whilst his Ghana compatriot and ex-WAFA teammate, Majeed Ashimeru was substituted on the 90th minute.

St.Gallen are currently 4th on the Swiss Super League table with 35 points after match day 28.

Both Ghanaians were handed a call up in the Black Meteors squad that defeated Gabon 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium during the international break but Majeed Ashimeru was unfortunately dropped due to a late injury.
