Ghana’s leading telecommunication network MTN will consider sponsoring the Ghana Premier League should a proposal be submitted by the Ghana Football Association.

The domestic top-flight is without a sponsor after Capital Bank abrogated its deal with the Nation’s Football governing body prior to the start of the season.

Capital Bank had hinted its decision to suspend the sponsorship deal following the low mileage received during the 2014/15 League season.

The Ghana Football Association has since been in hunt for a new sponsor for the League.

Noel Kojo Ganson, acting Chief Marketing Officer at MTN in an interview with Starr FM claimed his outfit will consider sponsoring the League once a proposal is made.

“When it comes up, we will look at it. Some of the discussions will come up and when it comes up, we will look at it,” Ganson told Starr FM.

“We will measure the benefits and since football is one of our pillars, we will look at the opportunities that are available once an approach.”

The Ghana Premier League enters the fifth week with interesting pairings.
