MTN presents Bus to Hearts

Accra, May 29, GNA - Mobile Telecommunications giants, MTN-Ghana on Friday presented a brand new 53-seater Mercedes Benz Bus to Premier League leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak. The presentation forms part of the company's commitment to a sponsorship deal with Hearts of Oak, which is worth four million and fifty thousand Ghana Cedis.

Mr George Andah, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN-Ghana, who presented the keys of the bus to executives of the Club on Friday, said his company was aware of especially the transport needs of the Club hence the vehicle was one of the ways to support the league leaders. He said the decision to support the Club was based on the fact that, Hearts has values that can be identified with that of the company which has driven MTN to 21 countries across the globe. Mr Andah said "'Leadership' and 'Can do Spirit' immediately comes to mind when one chants Accra Hearts of Oak's endearing slogan of "Never Say Die".

"We are convinced that the vehicle will go a long way to facilitate the Club's operations in the local league and the African continent". Mr Andah added.

He expressed the hope that the bus will be put to good use by the management of the Club. Mr C. Commodore-Mensah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hearts expressed appreciation to the company for the gesture and unflinching support.

He said "the relationship between Hearts and MTN as a marriage, which though has been experiencing some hiccups, remains a very formidable union.

"We are expecting more support from you in our effort to conquer the rest of the continent, because we have already conquered the local league". The Board Chairman stated. He said the Club is keen on making a major impact at the next continental competition and called on MTN to support them to succeed on their avowed aims.
