The Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Kurt Okraku insists the winner of this year’s MTN FA Cup trophy will struggle to impress in the CAF Confederation Cup because of a lack of financial muscle.

The FA Cup is set to have a new winner this season with small clubs set to battle it out for a place in the finals this weekend.

The semi-finalists are; Bechem United, Liberty Professionals, Wa Rockets and Okwahu United.

Mr Okraku in an interview with Starr FM said any of the four clubs had the quality to play good football but would struggle to fund their CAF Confederation Cup if they win the knockout competition.

“I think a lot goes into campaigning on the African terrain. It's not only about the quality of playing personnel”.

“In terms of financial strength, I think that’s where we all have a challenge,” he added.
