Lloyd Sam on target for New York Red Bulls

Ghanaian winger Lloyd Sam inspired New York Red Bulls to a comprehensive 4-0 victory over FC Dallas in the American Major League Soccer on Friday night.

The former Charlton Athletic player, 31, netted the opening goal for Jesse Marsch's side at the Red Bull Arena at New Jersey.

Sam, capped once by Ghana, raced into space to pick out a Salvatore Zizzo headed pass inside the box and calmly finish home for his goal of the season.

The winger has now scored once in 9 appearances for Red Bulls. He is chasing a record ten goal haul he amassed last season at the club.

His Ghanaian compatriot Gideon Baah was unused by the club.
