Some aggrieved Liverpool fans have called on the club’s owners to dismiss head coach Arne Slot following his handling of star player Mohamed Salah.

Slot dropped Salah from the starting eleven in three consecutive Liverpool games as the forward struggled to find his best form amid inconsistent results.

After the Egyptian was left as an unused substitute in The Reds’ 3-3 draw against Leeds United, he grew frustrated and voiced his anger to the media in an interview.

The Liverpool legend fumed that his relationship with the coach had broken down and said he found it difficult to understand why he had been at the center of criticisms during the team’s poor run of form.

The player, who led Liverpool to their 2024/2025 Premier League triumph, stated that he feels Slot has thrown him under the bus following their disastrous performances, despite his past success for the club.

Since this became public, some Liverpool fans have lambasted the Dutch coach for continuously benching Salah even though the entire squad is underperforming.

They blamed Slot for the team’s poor run of form, accusing him of making big-money signings but failing to bring out the best in them or tweak tactics to turn things around.

In light of this, they have called on the club’s owners to sack Arne Slot and pave the way for another manager to reinvigorate the team with new ideas, warning that otherwise they risk heading into a turbulent season despite their recent Premier League triumph.

I think he needs to be sacked even with a happy salah, he spent half a billion in the summer and signed one of the best strikers in world football and can’t get a tune out of his team
