Bayern Munich have celebrated former defender Samuel Osei Kuffour on his birthday, wishing him a long life.
The German giant celebrated the Ghanaian in a social media post, sharing his picture with the caption: "π³πππππ
π π³πππ πππππππ".
Former Black Stars and Bayern Munich defender turned 48 years old on September 3, 2024.
He is best known for his time at Bayern where he spent 12 years of his professional career and won 13 titles.
He won six Bundesliga titles, four DFB Pokal titles, one UEFA Champions League title, one Intercontinental trophy, and one DFB Super Cup.
Kuffour started his career in Ghana playing for King Faisal before departing for Europe, where he played for Bayern, Nuremberg, AS Roma, and Livorno.
He was named Ghana Player of the Year three times, BBC African Footballer of the Year once, and finished second in African Footballer of the Year two times in a row.
In his international football career, he played a total of 54 matches, scoring three goals. He made his Black Stars debut in 1993.
