Lions must sit out Sarfo Castro against Kotoko

if they want a win

To be grateful, ones former employers cannot be over emphasized in these modern days. Once a porcupine, shall remain always a porcupine.

He was a faithful assistant coach for Maxwell Konadu's Kotoko. He was not fired from his post before he joined Heart of Lions. Coach Sarfo Castro, no matter how professional he is, will not block his chances of one day coming back to Kotoko – a team that put him up to this level when he was unemployed.

Though, the league is at its infancy stage, the defending champions are chasing their first win and will be desperate no matter the opposition. The records show that Heart of Lions is one of the bogey sides to Kumasi Asante Kotoko and looking at the two matches so far, pressure is on them to get their first win of the season which gives Lions a big chance to thwart their efforts no matter the venue.

So I entreat the President and management of Heart of Lions to make changes to their technical team if they want to get a credible result from the upcoming league match against Kotoko. They should sit Castro out only for the Kotoko match not because he will go for a bribe, but he might have to keep his opportunity of returning back to Osei Krom in the near future intact.

Castro owes Kotoko some gratitude because they made him where he is today so he won’t be like Shylock in Shakepeare’s Merchant of Venice fame to take his pound of flesh from a team that secured him a job when all hopes were lost.

On an analytical point of view, I have no doubt that Heart of Lions can beat this current Kotoko team judging from the two matches played so far. Kotoko lack a good defensive network, their best two players, Nii Adjei and Yaw Frimpong have been sold to an opponent they are likely going to face in Africa in the next Champions League, TP Mazembe.

If a debutant like Amidaus can hold Kotoko at the almighty Baba Yara Stadium, then Lions can beat them if only they will pay heed to my advice. I am done.
