Daniel Opare enjoyed pre-season action as his Bundesliga side Augsburg lost 2-0 to second division side SV Sandhausen on Monday.

The right-back was handed a starting role by new coach Dirk Schuster.

Opare endured a miserable campaign last term will be seeking impress this time around.

The 25-year-old managed just four Bundesliga appearances.

Opare signed to replace compatriot Baba Rahman last summer, battled injuries and also fell out with former head coach Markus Weinzierl.
