Head coach of Young Africans of Tanzania, Hans van der Pluijm, has given the indication his side will beat Ghana’s Medeama SC in the CAF Confederation cup return leg to boost their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of Africa’s second tier club competition.

The East Africans drew 1-1 with the West Africans in the first leg at home.

Hans told reporters that: “I think generally, we played well and created a lot more chances, which I believe we should have converted, but we have another chance to make amends.”

“I believe we can beat Medeama away from home because we have performed even better away from home than we have done at home, so I am optimistic we will perform well and give ourselves a good shot for the next stage,” he added.

Young Africans are currently bottom of Group A, having picked up only a point out of a possible nine, after losing their last two games to MO Bejaia and TP Mazembe.
