Liberty's Awuley Quaye takes four-match ban

GFA bans Liberty Professionals player Accra Mail Online The Ghana Football Association has placed a four match ban on Lawrence Awuley Quaye of Liberty for attracting a red card in their 12th week league match against Dawu Youngsters at Dawu.

A release signed by Mr. Kweku Ampem-Darko, deputy general secretary (technical) said the player was expelled from the game for violent conduct.

Awuley-Quaye, would miss the 14th and 15th weeks league matches which are against Obuasi Goldfields at Accra Sports Stadium and Mine Stars at Prestea. He has already served the 12th and 13th week league matches.

In addition to the ban, Liberty has also been fined 200,000 cedis and failure to pay means the player shall remained banned for league matches.
