Let's have patience for Keni - Gerald Ankrah

Hearts chief Gerald Ankrah has called on the club's fans to show patience with coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

The Japanese amateur coach has already incurred the anger of the club's hierarchy after scoring a huge financial own goal.

The academy coach will most likely incur more financial burden for the club after he requested four players- recently signed to be sacked from the team.

If the club go ahead to terminate the contracts of the players, it will substantially worsen their already troubled financial situation at the club.

The situation, according to insiders, have brought massive disquiet among the top brass of the club as they weigh the latest directive from the American-trained coach.

Hearts defied criticism to sign the inexperienced coach but it appears critics are being proven right as the coach has demonstrated lack of quality to steer the side to success.

But in the midst of the brewing storm, the club's chief Gerald Ankrah is urging for patience for the under-fire coach.

‘’The reason for accepting that international friendly was to assess the new players in a competitive game, so what happened was that, in the first game we paraded seven new players," he told Accra-based Joy FM

"After the game he(Kenichi Yatsuhashi) recommended that about four of the new players should be dropped.

"It tells you that he was not looking at the result but the assessment of the players.’’
