Akufo-Addo leaves for Cote d'Ivoire

Accra, April 19, GNA - Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, would leave Accra on Thursday to participate in this month's meeting of the International Working Group (IWG) on Cote d'Ivoire.

A statement signed by Mr Amanor D. Mante, Assistant Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra, said the meeting aimed at advancing the road map for restoring peace to Cote d'Ivoire.

Nana Akuffo-Addo, Member of Parliament (MP) and leader of the Ghanaian delegation, would also hold bilateral talks with Ivorian political leaders, including President Laurent Gbagbo in order to brief President John Agyekum Kufuor on the Ivorian situation. The delegation would return on Saturday April 22, 2006.
