League's MVP to get two-bedroom house

The end of season awards for distinguished individuals in the Glo Premier League has a big prize, a two-bedroom house, awaiting the Most Valuable Player.

Ghanaian real estate company, Blue Rose, has signed up to partner the Ghana Football Association as the headline sponsor for the flagship award beginning this season.

A two-bedroom house valued close to GH¢ 70,000 will be presented to the league's best performer for the flagship prize when the end of season awards are handed out.

President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi believes the prize will raise the competitive nature of the league.

"This prize, a lasting one, will add up to the achievement of so many milestones in the life of a footballer," Kwesi Nyantakyi said on Friday.

"It will help star performers to improve and stay home instead traveling to other countries, where the standard of the league is not so strong.

"This big prize will raise the competitive nature of the league and generate interest."
