League delay won't affect us - Inter Allies Chief

Inter Allies president Delali Senaye insists the delay start of the league will not affect his side.

The start of the Ghanaian top-flight has been rocked by legal tussle involving clubs.

Tema Youth are challenging the promotion of Dreams FC at the Court of Arbitration for Sports while Techiman City’s promotion appears to be hanging over bribery claims.

Premier League clubs have complained the delay start of the league has hit their pockets with widespread fear it could affect the pre-season plans of teams.

But Inter Allies president Delali Senaye is unperturbed, insisting his side is well grounded.

“We are adjusting to the system. Unlike last season when we played many friendly matches to wait for the commencement of the league, we are doing proper planning now to adjust to the system,” he said.

“The reason why we break the players is for them to have maximum rest and return on the 26th of December, we don’t want to repeat what happened last season.”
