Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor has sacked midfielder Laryea Kingston from the team’s camp for gross indiscipline.
Akunnor claims the former Ghana international broke camp rules by driving to their camping base in Sekondi, where the team is on pre-season.
Kingston, who joined his teammates on Sunday, was asked to return his four-wheel Jeep vehicle after Tuesday’s training session, but the player refused. Akunnor was forced to wield the disciplinary axe and had no option but to throw him out.
The 30-year-old also reported to camp with his own drinking water and a mattress, which irked the coach.
Last week, there were reports that Kingston was sacked from camp, but Hearts officials vehemently denied those reports.
The player also explained his absence from camp was due to illness.
